The Lost Ways

Posted by Eugene Ramos on

Have you ever wondered what survival and progression was like for us 50, 100, and even 150 years back?

You may know how to start a fire and make a simple shelter, but do you think that you could manage to survive on your own if our modern conveniences suddenly shut down and you were forced into the wild to survive by your own means?

If you were even slightly intrigued by those questions, then we’re sure you’ll enjoy reading through and maybe even keeping The Lost Ways survival book with the rest of your survival equipment just in case.

Now, you may be a little interested in this book, but you still have no clue what it encompasses, so we’ll fill you in. “The Lost Ways” is a book written by 16 different authors, with the head author being Claude Davis, a man who was well known by family and friends as an old-fashioned type of guy who held value in keeping the ways of our forefathers with us to fall back on.

One of the major problems with modern technology and resources we have today is that we’re advancing faster and faster, and creating new ways to make life easier for the majority of the population. And with that, we’re losing the common knowledge among the people that will keep us alive and thriving under bare-bone conditions.

Although it doesn’t seem likely that we’ll all-of-a sudden be ripped from the comfort of having things taken care of for us like electric/gas burners, running water, and manufacturers to create common utility items, it is still a reality that we have to be weary of.

Even 20, 40, and maybe 100 years from now we may still be living the modern life with no crisis-level issues, that will only make the problem worse. With less and less of our population having the common knowledge to survive if it all goes down. However if you have access to the knowledge needed to keep yourself, family, and friends afloat surviving on only what nature has at the ready, you’ll be able to have peace of mind in owning one of the best books on some of our forefathers traditions.

In The Lost Ways, you’ll have access to hundreds of different schematics, recipes, and explanations on how things were done back in the day when we had no electricity, plumbing, modern medicine, etc. These explanations range from how to make your own knife out in the wild as our forefathers did, to brewing your own beer and even distilling your own moonshine.

A book that goes through the tales of how our forefathers were able to operate daily and avoid illnesses, environmental issues, be able to hunt and gather food and herbs, and maintain a lifestyle with no running water or modern conveniences may seem like a useless and boring history lesson to most people, but we know that there’s a majority of people who think like us and will take a little extra time and resources to prepare for the worst.
